Health and Safety at Work Qualification 3 days block release.
The NEBOSH Health & Safety at Work is aimed at any individual who needs to understand the principles of health & safety as part of their role. The course is aimed at team leaders/ supervisors, HR professionals, facilities managers and those working with young people in a training environment.
This 3 day course is split into two units:
Unit HSW1: Workplace Safety Foundations
- Foundations of health and safety including responsibilities for health and safety and the principles of risk assessment and control.
- Work equipment, transport, electricity, fire, manual handling, hazardous substances and the working environment. Assessed by a multiple choice test paper.
Unit HSW2: Workplace Risk Assessment Activity
- Candidates should demonstrate the abilities to identify workplace hazards.
- Determine the adequacy of existing controls.
- Make prioritised recommendations for additional controls and determine an appropriate review date.
Assessed by a 1 hour practical risk assessment activity.
Course fees are inclusive of materials, examination fees plus lunch and refreshments.
Accommodation can be arranged if requested at an extra cost.
Exam will be on Friday 27th May, 2016
